Advent Calendar 2024
It's free Friday! We're putting the 'free' in 'freezing' every Friday by highlighting no-cost events.
This afternoon, older community members can enjoy a cuppa and a chat in the Museum of Oxford, at their monthly Tea and Talk series. It's a zero pressure, drop-in event and a chance to meet new people and have a catch up with familiar faces.
Tea and Talk: Museum of Oxford. 2 - 3.30pm, Fri 6th Dec. Free - just drop in!
LOOKING AHEAD - On Wednesday, local arts nonprofit Fusion Arts and Integrative Arts Psychotherapist Helen Edwards invite you to their symposium on the power of arts based learning in schools, Story Makers: Collections of Hope.
Since 2010, a partnership between Edwards and Fusion Arts called Story Makers has been working to bring more arts based lessons to school children. This event celebrates the positive impact of their work, through the words and art of local primary school children, plus artists, teachers, and museum educators. Open to all, and with refreshments provided, this is an inspiring and fascinating event to brighten your Wednesday afternoon.
Story Makers Symposium: Collections of Hope: Museum of Natural History, Lecture Theatre. 1.30 - 4pm, Wed 11th Dec. Free - booking essential as spaces are limited.
