George Street Social

The ideal spot for any morning-after brunch, taken at a more leisurely pace. With a chilled atmosphere, friendly staff and perfectly pitched menu of spirit-lifting cuisine, George Street Social is the place to go for day-saving brunches.
Daily Info recommends: Shakshouka - more places should do this delicious baked egg dish. But until they do the George Street Social has two equally good variants of this meal, complete with toasted campaillou.

The Handle Bar

Nestled on St Michael Street, The Handle Bar is Daily Info's recommended vegetarian brunch choice, with a menu that includes vegan-friendly pancakes with porridge and smashed avocado on toast, all to be washed down with fruit-packed smoothies.
Daily Info recommends: Poached eggs with kale - With hollandaise on a vegan brioche. A brunch standard that the Handle Bar does well. You really can't go wrong with poached eggs and the accompanying kale and brioche are veggie excellence.

Jacobs and Field

The jewel in the House of Jacob's crown, Jacobs and Field blends an intimate dining experience with a tremendous brunch menu served alongside pizza and pasta. Booking is very much advised for this gem.
Daily Info recommends: Eggs Chorizo - a cracking mix of poached eggs, chorizo and hollandaise on top of toasted sourdough. Just the right quantity to help you start a laid-back Saturday or Sunday.

Silvie's

Home of the best egg custard tarts in Oxford, Silvie's has baked treats (both savoury and sweet), a warm inviting atmosphere and homely food, perfect for any day of the week.
Daily Info recommends: the Full Silvie - this meal has everything you could want in a hearty brunch. Beans, mushroom, bacon, sausage, egg AND potato bread.

Rickety Press

Dodo Pub Co. do exemplary pubs. The Rickety Press is their Jericho home and when not offering outstanding burgers and some of the best pizzas in Oxford, they do a fabulous brunch that perfectly suits their friendly atmosphere.
Daily Info: Mighty Veggie - a smorgasbord of vegetarian fare, the Mighty Veggie has everything you could want in a brunch from leek fritters to San Francisco sourdough. All topped with your choice of poached or fried egg.

The Cartshed

The latest addition to the Oxfordshire brunch scene offers diners a warm and inviting space, bathed in light from a wall of windows, complete with toys for children to play with. The food is suitably homemade and sourced locally. Make sure to try the scrumptious cakes once you've finished your meal.
Daily Info recommends: The Rebel - all brunches should come with halloumi, as this meal does. A great mix of tomatoes, mushrooms and bacon, perfect with or without avocado.
