11th Sep: Rachel Parris, Oxford Playhouse
Early in September you can kick off an Autumn of laughs when Rachel Parris returns to Oxford. A founding member of the improv group Austentatious and formerly on The Mash Report, Parris blends stand-up and songs for what is sure to be a hilarious hour of comedy.
27th Sep: Tez Ilyas, Old Fire Station
One of the UK comedy scene's most exciting up-and-coming comedians, Ilyas is a best-selling author and now grapples with having got married, bought a house and become a stepdad… to a pair of rabbits. Watch the comedian come to terms with his new life, the changing world and all the big questions.
3rd Oct: Pierre Novellie, Old Fire Station
Currently taking the Edinburgh Fringe by storm, Pierre Novellie comes to Oxford with his award-winning blend of comedy and observations. You’re sure to laugh but you may be left wondering: why exactly are you laughing?
11th Oct: Jericho Comedy: Stand-up Science, North Wall
As well as two Saturday evening gigs, bringing together a wealth of exciting new talent, Jericho Comedy pop up at the North Wall for a trio of gigs this Autumn, with Stand-up Science being a real highlight. Hosted by scientist Matt Hobs and Jericho Comedy’s own Alex Farrow, this evening beautifully marries science and comedy to lift the audience's spirits and sharpen their minds.
20th Oct, Maisie Adam, Oxford Playhouse
A previous winner of Best New Act and nominee for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as a comedian that’s popped up on the likes of Live At The Apollo, A League Of Their Own and Have I Got News For You, Adam brings her new tour to Oxford, giving herself an appraisal of her stand-up career up to this point.
30th Oct: Kiri Pritchard-McLean, North Wall
One half of the cult hit podcast All Killa No Filla, Pritchard-Mclean brings sequins, laughs and social commentary to the North Wall with her latest show. Her gig is almost sold out so if there’s at least one to book ahead for now, it’s this one. You won’t regret it!
21 Nov: The Horne Section, New Theatre
The genius behind Taskmaster, Alex Horne is also the front man for The Horne Section. The six-piece band mix comedy, songs, dance, and mucking about, and this new show is sure to make you fall in love with Horne's live act as much as his beloved TV output.
5th & 6th Dec: Juliette Burton, Old Fire Station
Wrap-up 2024 with an award-winning, fringe selling-out comedic genius as Burton explores where hope ends and naivety begins. See hope as an act of rebellion and find out how to make relentless optimism our friend.
