Even if you're not big on creepy-crawlies, you shouldn't miss this mini-show, which punches well above its weight in terms of aesthetic punch per square metre. Using technology which allows every part of a micro-depth photo to be in glorious focus, Levon Biss has produced some absolutely stunning images, flaunting the stranger-than-fiction shapes and colours of the insect world. They're weirder than creatures from the most far-out sci-fi blockbuster and more beautiful than many a painting.
The curators have mounted the original specimens next to the metre-high photos, so you can spend some time (as I did) turning in wonder from one to the other to prove to yourself that these creatures really exist, and/or to work out the odd detail in 3D. One of the best free exhibitions I've been to in a while. Catch it while you can!
