Oxford’s biggest beer garden, open-air German Village complete with funfair, and exclusive DJ show.
Broad Street, Oxford City Centre, Thu 17 August - Sun 20 August 2017
Broad Street will be transformed this weekend (and it's a long weekend, starting on Thursday!) into a German Village for an early Oktoberfest. Bierfest Oxford promises lederhosen, steins, weissbier, festbier, craftbier, gluten-free beer, Brezel (a sort of bready pretzl) and souvenir Heidi wigs. It's billed as a family-friendly event, with a funfair, and other drinks are available!
The German Biergarden is open to all, unticketed, and free to enter. If you want a deeper Oktoberfest experience you can head in to the Bavarian Festtent, which does have an entry charge but where DJs will have you dancing. VIP tickets cost more, but include more free biers.
It's not every day you meet a pop-up slice of Germany in the middle of Oxford. We recommend you head down for the most tasty and tasteful cultural appropriation going. And you don't even have to change your pounds for euros!
