For the third year running, the Examination Schools were transformed for OxCon, Oxford's own local comic convention. Stormtroopers, cosplayers and comic vendors arrived, along with an array of guests from fan favourites such as Star Wars and Farscape, and spent an action-packed day with the convention's attendees.

I've attended a lot of comic conventions, both as a visitor and an indie comics seller, and OxCon is one of the nicest small cons I've been to. With friendly staff (who make a point of coming around to check how things are going and hand out bottles of water) and a gorgeous setting, this is a laid-back convention that would be great for families to visit.
