Some of the young dancers seemed very enthusiastic and already quite accomplished. In the group scenes, there was, on occasion, a lack of precision in the timing of the movements but this did not detract from the elegance of the performance as a whole, which was, generally, of a high standard.
The two main ballerinas were brilliant throughout, as was the Prince, and the costumes were gorgeous. The dancer who played Odette was really very talented and her poignant first dance with the Prince was full of romance and beauty. The movements really conveyed their love for each other. In the second act we saw the more dramatic Odile who also was extremely talented and danced exquisitely.
The evening as a whole was magical, beautiful and exciting.
