A truly ridiculous comedy which makes every effort to be preposterous in every banal situation that cultured rich Parisiennes may find themselves in. It’s scripted like a modern piece of Goddard where everyone speaks like an academic philosopher on love sex and relationships. But it’s actually just a vehicle for Juliette Binoche to pout, pose and titillate the viewer. The overall effect? Pretentious tosh, the comedy is drowned by its smarmy faux artyness.
