From the director of 2 great films - Hell and High Water and Starred Up, we now have an absolute stinker of a movie. It stumbles from one cliché to the next and has battle scenes that unfortunately these days just pale into insignificance when compared to the carnage in the likes of Game of Thrones. It's a film which does not have 1 character of any interest, but piles on the schmaltz worse than Braveheart... in fact it makes Braveheart seem like an absolute classic by comparison. I'm Scottish and I'm thoroughly sick of all this mythologising of why we hate the English nonsense. The only real thing worth seeing in this film is the wonderful landscapes. Give it a miss. You must have something better to do for 117 mins!
