Brilliant fun. Despite Russell Crowe having the acting ability of a rotting piece of driftwood, this was thoroughly enjoyable. There were scenes when I literally didn't understand a word he said, others where I thought he was doing a passable impression of Derek Hatten, and some where I wondered if he had just suffered a stroke, but the rest of the cast somehow make up for it.
Mark Strong is wonderful as the evil two-timing Geoffrey, as is Cate Blanchett as Mrs Marion. Everyone wears brown except the Kings of France and England, who look like indie rock stars. As ever, you can always rely on Ridley Scott for a good time.
