My teenage daughter absolutely adored this latter-day Cinderella movie, and indeed it had many points of interest. Cher - isn't she about ninety now? - looked amazing and still has the same wonderful rich, smokey husky voice that she had fifty years ago. Christina Aguilera - what a pair of lungs! Superbly choreographed dance routines and energetically belted-out show-stopping tunes. Cam Gigandet as the love interest was mesmerizing - he looks a lot better without red contact lenses (as who wouldn't?) and in fact resembles a younger, slimmed down Russell Crowe. We get to see a lot of no-shirt shots and trust me, ladies, no-one is going to climb over him to get to Russell. (Stop drooling! Eds) There isn't very much of a plot, but really there doesn't need to be. It's a showcase for Ms Aguilera's stupendous talents and Mr Gigandet's glorious body. And very fine it is too.
