A charming little indie movie, which may just appeal more to male viewers. It covers the angst of puberty, first love and totally unknown awkwardness that effects most lads. What's different about this version is that it appears more honest, in a sort of British way (Welsh in this case). It's a very witty script, full of sharp observations, well acted, great camera work, a genuine gem...the likes of which we are unlikely to see again since most of the funders (and there seemed to be rather too many) will have gone to the wall with lack of funds by the the time I've finished writing this! I hear that the writer and director, Richard from The I.T. Crowd, is one to watch. I think he may just be a bit too quirky for the mainstream - but good luck to him.
