This is a fantastic movie. It had me on the edge of my seat on many occasions. I have to admit to being a bit annoyed at the start as it took a wee while to gel, but then it just takes you. There are so many bits about the Swedish/Danish way of life that make you feel that our society really is backward. So all in all it hits all the right buttons - great story, wonderful acting and direction - and it makes you think, both during and after (I saw it in the preview last week and it's still with me). One little criticism: perhaps the families' issues all get a little bit *too* sorted out by the end, but that's me being peevish! Oh and the sound is half a second out of synch, which is a real pig. I just realised it won the foreign oscar - well deserved.
