For music lovers this is a real treat. I love the way the film weaves together Bob Marley's spiritual and political beliefs with world events. It's a real joy listening to Jah-maicans talking about Bob and reggae music (it's subtitled if you cant keep up with the patois). The film never positively criticises Marley's lifestyle but there are enough subtle comments which leave you in little doubt that the great man may have been more human than God! It's had dreadful distribution, mainly London-centred...and when I saw it in Birmingham. there were only 20 people in a huge cinema. It's a shame that such a good documentary would appear to have so little influence on kick-starting a new generation into such good music.
Don't miss it!
