Cherish your memories of the first Hunger Games movie, with its refreshingly sharp style and pace. The director has made a right meal out of Catching Fire. Maybe it'll work for anyone under 16, the formulaic set pieces, sentimentalism and wooden acting on top of a truly awful script. The only redeeming feature maybe the special effects which allows Jennifer Lawrence the oppportunity to scream "Peeta Peeta" at various intervals.
At 146 mins long, it is a borefest of epic proportions. And don't you just love that cutesy way the credits just come up mid sentence? Hinting that part 1 of part 3, and part 2 of part 3 might just already have been made and are just waiting to light up our lives? I didn't!
