I went to see this after reading glowing 5* reviews in newspapers and wondered why it got such high ratings. This film did not make me chuckle, giggle or lol; the gags were tired and predictable as was the formulaic story. The fight scene with many celebrity cameos made me smile, otherwise it was a disappointing visit to the cinema.

If, like myself you enjoyed the trailers, particularly "Dr Who?" then stick to that.

This is an ill disciplined mess of purile gags, with a script possibly written by his on-stage-6-year old son. Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig are particularly awful as 2 offbeat nerds. There's a way to handle non pc gags on race issues and women and somehow this more than tips the balance from smirk to utter embarassment and shame and yet a dozen top Hollywood actors demean themselves to play bit parts in it!

Its as if some American comedy is actually written in a different century and maybe even in a different language. In fact this move is so that bad, its time we came up with a new ranking system.. 5 stars for the best movies... 5 Sandlers for the worst.. we have 2014's first heavyweight loser.... duh...
