Personally I really like Fernando´s. It´s a very nice restaurant located in the centre of Oxford, next to the Carfax tower. Just by enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and eating the high quality food, you could think that it´s an expensive restaurant, but I think it´s reasonably priced. They have a typical cafe set menu (maybe a bit more elaborate) and you just have to join a queue, order, pay, sit at a table and wait for the waiter to bring your order. The staff are always the same and they are really nice and cheerful. The dishes cost between 3 to 7 pounds and something that I really like about Fernando´s is that the food is kind of home-made (you can have a piece of chicken with rice, salad and some crisps or a very big and delicious salad or just a coffee and a piece of cake).
If you go to Fernando´s, you won´t find unhealthy fast food or sandwich tat you can buy anywhere and it will cost you almost the same, so you could enjoy a nice lunch in a nice restaurant with no worries about price.
