A gastronomic gem disguised as a traditional country pub! The pub itself was wonderfully cosy on a chilly winter's night and we were made to feel very welcome by the barman. The menu is a mix of pub classics and more inventive dishes; the starters reflect the adventurous, creative side of the chef, with the use of flavoured oils, gels and butters prevalent in all the choices which in turn added to the novelty and enjoyment of the starters for the consumers. Overall we were very impressed by the quality and presentation of the food served to us. The 8oz burger was a particular favourite among our group. Sadly we didn't have room to try the puddings but there's always a next time!
