Tucked away at the heart of the Westgate is the Social, serving as both an entrance to Junkyard Golf and a destination for a variety of speedy foodie treats. With restaurants serving everything from noodles to tacos to Lebanese wraps there is cuisine to meet most people's tastes. On a Christmas Eve thankfully free of shopping our group settled in the social. While half chose noodles, my brother and I went for burgers, and were rewarded with a tasty slice of meaty heaven.
Tommi's Burger Joint reaches
Our food came under the 'Offer of the Century' which covers a burger, fries and soft drink all for an affordable £10.90. For an additional cost we added cheese and bacon. Our food took roughly 15 minutes to prepare and came out piping hot. The burger is cooked just right, with a flavoursome patty in the middle. The bun was fresh and the perfect accompaniment to its filling. Another great addition to the meal are the fries, an impeccable combination of crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. In short the food at Tommi's Burger Joint is great.
The staff at Tommi's Burger Joint should be commended as they are polite and friendly. Extra brownie points go to my server who complimented my Christmas jumper. I can also recommend the shakes (having had one on a previous visit), which have the right level of thickness and flavour required for a good shake. While the atmosphere of the Social currently feels more functional then I would have liked that isn't something I can critique this Burger Joint for.
For a speedy burger with a gorgeous taste it has to be Tommi's Burger Joint. I'm not sure about the company's proclaimed back story but this doesn't diminish from the eating experience, one enhanced by fantastic staff members and exceedingly good chips. Certainly I can see a return to this establishment in the near future.
