We eat in this restaurant at least once a week. The menu is sufficiently varied that we can have fun trying new dishes, and have never yet been disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious, and several of the house specials are things unique to this restaurant. The service is warm and friendly, the décor pleasing, the prices extremely reasonable (c £20 per head) and, in short, it is the best Indian restaurant in Oxford - even better than Aziz on a good night.
How lucky are we to have this amazing curry house around the corner from our house? I'm never disappointed by their food and neither have any of our friends been when we've taken them there.
They have a wide range of classic Indian dishes, but I find it hard to move past their Chef Specials. My particular favourite is Murgh Xacuti, a South Indian dish with chicken strips, curry leaves, red chilli and garlic ginger paste, spices and coconut milk. Quite spicy, but I love it! My husband always has every intention of trying something else, but always ends up going for Goa Maachli Curry, a Bangladeshi fish curry.
Don't get me wrong, I have tried other things as well and would recommend all of those dishes (had Chicken Jalfrezi last night). Service and ambience excellent.
