Situated in the heart of the city centre, O'Neill's is an exceptionally modern pub. It is surrounded by other budget, niche and posh restaurants, but it goes toe-to-toe with the quality of the best of these establishments. It is a large venue with plenty of seating available for those that wish to dine. However, it is a sports pub with many large screens adorning the various walls, accompanied by spaces for sports fanatics to drink and cheer.
As you walk in, you are greeted by a welcoming atmosphere with a lively yet not loud backdrop. This is complemented by the friendly and dutiful staff. Once you take your seat you will spot the classic pub arrangement of various condiments and menus. Within the menu there is a wide variety of pop culture cuisines: Mexican, Italian, American and British are all available at your pleasure within this traditionally Irish pub. After a mental simulation of all these meals, I decided a pepperoni pizza would be the one I would be most satisfied with. It did not disappoint.
I felt my mouth watering from the moment I first laid my eyes upon it, and this delight lasted throughout the meal. The combination of pepperoni and mozzarella felt wholesome yet not over the top. At £15 for the whole meal, the pub is good value considering its location and facilities. The mood was a reflection of the physical features of the pub itself. A blissful ambience where a variety of food & drink is served. It is pub with something for everyone, and I would highly recommend a visit to O'Neill's.
