Wonderful cinematography permeated with heart-strings-pulling moments, this encapsulates what it's like to grow up as a woman, which many will identify with - and goes further to give insight into life in the rough areas on the fringes of Paris. A well considered slice-of-life film.

If you're expecting anything like the gritty British Adulthood then you'll be very disappointed. It's Hollywood meets France. I struggled to understand what new message the film attempted to tell us. The scene setting was so undemanding I could have sworn I was watching childrens TV.The main actress has a very pretty face and smiling eyes, but that can't hide her wooden acting. How any critic could consider this worthy of praise defeats me.
