Shawa is all about honest food, fresh, healthy and with something for everyone. Our food lends itself to being suitable for vegetarians and vegans too, we have salads, vegetables and mezze items. We have a variety of drinks including Almaza beer from Lebanon, we also have a range of soft drinks including our Lebanese homemade lemonades.

Shezan stands on the 1st floor along a narrow passageway off the famous Oxford High Street. It dates from the early eighteenth century and is a grade II listed building built c. 1679. Shezan is Oxford’s only genuine Indian and Balti restaurant and is renowned for its wide selection of delicious freshly made dishes to suit everyone’s taste including vegetarians. Vital at Shezan is the skillful roasting and blending of spices to create the many unique masalas, essential for totally authentic Indian and Balti cuisine.

Just like Shoryu Ramen, Oxford combines modern lifestyle with rich heritage, the perfect recipe for our second venture outside London. Shoryu Oxford brings authentic Hakata tonkotsu ramen to Oxford City Centre’s Westgate Shopping Centre feeding hungry shoppers.

The Six Bells at 3 Beaumont Road in Headington Quarry was originally a private house and dates in part from 1782. It was a pub by the early nineteenth century, and was named after the six bells of St Andrew's Church (its parish until 1849). It was a free house in 1882 when Morrells Brewery (who had previously supplied the beer) bought it. When Morrell's Brewery closed in 1998 it became a Greene King pub.

Replacing The Living Room in May 2014, The Oxford Slug & Lettuce is one of 70 that the chain runs throughout the country. They serve a large and varied food menu with daily promotions, along with draught and bottled lagers, wines, cocktails and more.

This small chain has luxurious coffee shops in Bath, Bristol, Oxford and London, with added art magazines to inspire you as you recharge and caffeinate yourself.

Independent coffee shop that specialises in amazing juices in jamjars, and coffee art. The croissants and crockery make it look very authentically French.

The purgatory of Bridge, though many say it's better than Bridge itself. Revamped in 2018 with a bigger dancefloor. Live DJs from 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights.

Small, partly covered external courtyard at rear. The menu covers the sorts of things you'd expect, done well, and gluten-free and vegan items (yes, there's more than one vegan option!) are marked clearly. Their Blue Room is available to hire, and hosts many workshops, gigs and shows. It's upstairs, and has its own bar with bartender. Food can be provided at a time of your choosing.

Apart from a brief hiatus when it was called something else, The Standard has been serving curries to Oxford restaurants since 1972, and is much beloved by student groups, for rowing club dinners and the like. It's fairly Standard (!) Indian restaurant fare, a little pricey, but with a good vegetarian selection.

Spot local bandmembers, their relatives, sound engineers and barely drinking-aged friends. Friendly staff. Big garden. Barbeques and fireworks at appropriate times.

Sticks’n’Sushi serve high-quality, fresh food based on a unique combination of traditional sushi and yakitori sticks from the grill. So for those less keen on fish, there is a selection of chicken, pork, beef and vegetable skewers - all grilled fresh to order. Attracting both families and trendsetters, Sticks’n’Sushi is known for making the fashionable, friendly and affordable.
