St Clare's, Oxford is an independent, co-educational, day and boarding school with 70 years of experience, located in Oxford. We are an IB World School, and have been offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma for 45 years, longer than any other school or college in England.
Students from over 40 countries study with us, including a significant number of British students. Our teaching methods are engaging and student-centred, which give students a higher chance of achieving their potential. The atmosphere is informal and friendly, with an equal emphasis on hard work and developing personal responsibility.
In 2022, two of our students gained the highest possible score for the IB of 45 points – placing them in the top 1% of students worldwide. We are delighted that 25% of our students scored 40 points or above (the equivalent to A* A* A at A Level) giving them access to leading universities across the globe, such as Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE, Bath, Durham, Edinburgh, Imperial, Harvard, NYU, UCLA, Berkeley, McGill, Toronto, Maastricht, and Bocconi to name but a few!
St Clare's campus is made up of over 20 large Victorian and Edwardian houses to which purpose-built facilities have been added. These include a beautiful library with over 35,000 volumes, a dining room, and a popular student café. There is an award-winning building, housing 4 science laboratories and 3 mathematics classrooms, an art studio, and music rooms. Students who wish to board live in college houses close to the central campus, under the care of House Parents.
There is also an extensive programme of social, cultural and sporting activities, and students are encouraged to take full advantage of the opportunities that Oxford provides.
